They tried shooting and it doesn't work on this island.

RAMON JAYO: Previous exercises such as trying to trap them or trying to shoot them proved pretty impossible because of the nature of the terrain. You can see she's a bit rugged. We have also tried aerial shooting, but the problem is that there's so much vegetation up on top that, you know, we can't get a clear shot.

Our aerial culling regs require minimum heights for chopper as per aviation regs, as with anything in this nanny state of a country the rules are almost insane.

Perhaps they need to bend a few rules on this one like letting the chopper fly lower and use thermal scopes.

The job doesn't need to be completed in a few days as it is when you are paying professional shooters and helicopters. Giving SSAA members the go-ahead to spend their holidays there would see them removed, probably with 12 months, we already pay the army and it'd be good rough terrain/jungle experience for them. They'd be eating well too.

I still think relocating volunteers from Manus Island is a winner.
10 goats gets you a bridging visa.

For government aerial culling they must use a turbine powered chopper, then you have a pilot, spotter and shooter.
The spotters job is to tally shots fired vs kills.

If they used a piston powered R44 they could get by with a pilot and shooter it would be less than half the cost.

Theyd be marrying the goats not killing them.
