It's not "the best option". It's cruelty beyond belief that will damage the food chain.

Oh wait, maybe they should spray the island with agent orange first so they can see them.

No. If they are going to release dingos they should release older ones of the same gender ... or desexed.

Let them live out their natural life.

You have no imagination at all, do you?

Oh wait, you are ok with time bombing sentient creatures with an agonising death to leave behind contaminated carcasses for the food chain to be effected by.

What did i expect?

So now you want to release old dingoes with zimmer frames to scour the roughest terrain imaginable?  Allrighteythen.

You'd need a dingo in it's prime to be able to catch goats there.
So let's say you populate the island with 2 yer old dingos, they potentially live for another 6-8 years. Munch munch munch. All the small mammals gorne.

I think we'll go with Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore.    Grin Grin Grin Grin

Nope. A dingo of 5 or 6 would be perfectly capable of navigating the territory.

And it would die by 10.

... and not leave a contaminated corpse.

Don't know much about 1080, do you Gordy?

And what's to say other animals other than goats wouldn't be targeted by the dingoes in the first place?

You really haven't thought this all the way through, Gordy.

... but that's not unusual.

I don't like 1080 and would worry about the carnivores and carrion eaters the clean up their carcasses. If the goats need to go, they should be shot. Perhaps the council could team up with SSAA.

Exactly. Helicopters and guns.

This is what we used a few times back in the day, worked ok

You've got my vote with that idea.

I signed the petition.

The ethnic mayor of Hinchinbrook obviously comes from a culture that has no sympathy for animals in distress.

All they need do is open up the island for Muslims to hunt their own goats for their Ramadan feast.

Sorry, but it didn't work okay.

Brumbies shot from the helicopters were lying all over the bushland in great agony for days because they had only been wounded and not killed cleanly.

Dingoes are painful killers.

The death of their victims is the animal equivalent of Death by a Thousand Cuts.

Shooters on foot is a humane solution.

Or ... release a couple of circus lions on the island, and then a few weeks later tranquilize them from a helicopter and lift them off the island.

Indeed.

Ok lets spare the dingoes.

Relocate all fit and able males from the refugee camps.
10 goats earns a bridging visa.

Be careful about signing this petition. I've already been swamped with unsolicited email from them begging me for more. They always do this, and it's why 9 times out of 10 I ignore these petition-signing exercises.

Correction - 10 times out of 10. But in Mothra's case I made an exception.

They're never happy to just leave you alone after you've signed a petition or made a donation. They see you as a potential sucker to frisk and shake down for all they can get out of you.

Funny. I haven't received anything from them.
