I wish really hard that atrocities such as FGM were treated on their own merits, not as an excuse to bash a demographic certain people don't like.
Excuse or reason?
And of course, needless to say, you've argued long and hard with revolting shitheads to not condemn the Nazi 'demographic' of the Second World War simply because a few of them were in the genocide business.

This isn't about point scoring, you revolting shitheads, it's about women and girls and their rights to live freely.
Wrong again.
It's about girls born into a religion among whose congregation there is a tradition for mutilating their daughters.
Do try to keep up with us, Mothra.
You are, as usual, quite wrong Herbie,
FGM is not restricted to Islam.
It seems that Gnads and Herbie just refuse to accept the facts.
FGM occurs in non-Muslim societies in Africa
and in Arab states such as Egypt.
Both Christian Copts and Muslims are complicit.
And non Copt Christians and Animists.
Why do Gnads and Herbie refuse to acknowledge these facts?
Don't tell porkies Peccarhead
no one is refusing to accept the facts of tribal/cultural beliefs & practices of Africans of all converted denominations. Despite claiming to be one religion or another their background/tribal beliefs still hold a strong sway.
But as far as populations/numbers go ME Muslim countries & Malaysia & the most populous muslim country Indonesia promote this practice more as a religious requirement.
Muslims of European descent i.e in Kosovo,
Albania & Bosnia and Herzegovina don't do it.
https://www.globalcitizen.org/en/content/fgm-female-genital-mutilation-misconcep... Quote:Myth 11: It is comparable to male circumcision.
Some argue that FGM is just a female version of male circumcision; however, there are a few key differences (which is not to say that one is better, simply that they are different). While male circumcision is also controversial, it is actually prescribed by some religions, whereas FGM is not. Additionally, male circumcision is the removal of skin, and not the sex organ itself (as with the clitoris), and does not typically cause the same kinds of long-term health problems.
But most importantly, FGM is performed to make women more attractive to men and as a means of controlling women’s bodies and sexuality. That is not the motivation for male circumcision. FGM is the literal sexual objectification of women — it aims to strip them of pleasure, while making them more appealing to men.
