Word on the allegedly informed street (LNP leak to their 'faithful,') is March, 2017.  And yeas, the rise of ON will be having an impact.

Palaszczuk won three years on the 31st January, 2015.  If it is March 2017, that is massively early.

If One Nation is the cause, they would be better served by waiting, not going early. Would they want to go when ONP are at the peak of their popularity, or wait for the possibility of them losing support?

It is usual for leaders who have discretion over the election date and some kind of unfavourable polling to wait and see if the polling turns around. It is rare for leaders to go early if a bad result for them is likely - in this case, ONP taking seats.

It did get a lot more votes in the last election than the Tuck shop lady, but that didn't mean they retained power.

They have more competition from ON than labor.

Yeah they tend to look a bit messy at times.  Smiley Smiley

But the Tuckshop Lady is as useless as tits on a bull, she will be gone next election regardless

The big issue for both parties in ON and the voters of CQ, NQ, & FNQ, they are not happy campers at the moment and will punish those 'responsible'.

No they didn't, the LNP lost the two party preferred vote against Labor 51.1% to 48.9%.

The LNP argument that they got the higher primary vote is just a pissweak argument to try and cover for the fact that they lost the unloseble election throwing away 36 seats down the toilet in one term.

Not an LNP supporter, I stated a simple fact so calm your tits.

I doubt your wonderful Tuckshop  lady with all  her gross incompetence is going to last more than one term.

Only problem it wasn't a fact as I pointed out, Annastasia Palaszczuk got more votes at the last election. I wonder whats your evidence she will last only one term when polling seems to be in her favor as the latest Essential poll has Labor ahead 55-45 on two party preferred. If anything it's the LNP that are making noises there in disarray. Labor is just plodding along going about its job.

"It seems not all is happy among Tim Nicholls’ leadership team, as they scramble for a strategy to combat the resurgence of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation. First there was internal criticism of shadow treasurer Scott Emerson, after he went on leave at the same time Queensland Treasurer Curtis Pitt handed down the state’s midyear budget outlook.

Now, on the back of an Essential Poll showing the LNP slipping behind Labor, opposition MPs have questioned why Mr Nicholls has taken leave over the holiday season when they believe he should be attacking the government while Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is on holidays.

The New Year looms as a critical one for the Queensland conservatives, who could be forced to form a coalition government with One Nation if Ms Palaszczuk goes to an early election, as expected. Today in Queensland is now hearing a possible Queensland election in October/November.

tuck shop lady is a quiet achiever ... plodding along, doing her thing, fixing up Newmans many screw ups.

What makes it better is that the more successful she is, the more it infuriates the states rednecks (like bigol).  Grin Grin
