20 years' jail for foiled terror plot
Dec 9th, 2016 at 12:07pm

Great outcome and great work by our security services as they were caught before anyone could be hurt.

I hope they can be deported directly after there sentence.

I also hope a bit better vetting can be done for Iraqi refugees and Kuwaiti students in future.

See ya, Omar and Mohammad.

Mohammad Kiad, Omar Al-Kutobi sentenced to 20 years' jail for foiled terror plot

Sydney men Omar Al-Kutobi and Mohammad Kiad have been sentenced to 20 years' jail for preparing to commit a terrorist attack.
Key points:

Omar Al-Kutobi and Mohammad Kiad plotted deadly terrorist attacks in Sydney
The duo will spend at least 15 years behind bars
They were arrested in February 2015 after a tip-off

Al-Kutobi, 25, and Kiad, 27, intended to target a Shiite prayer hall in February last year, but that plan was abandoned in favour of a plot to attack someone with either a knife or machete.

They will spend a minimum of 15 years behind bars.

Can anyone suggest why an Iraqi refugee who's pretty much won country Lotto would have such a mind snap and want to continue the religious violence he's just fled from? Bizarre.

Did you actually read the article? Or just the thread title?

This has nothing to do with any trains.

Do you practice making a fool of yourself in the mirror every morning?

You've got it down.

I watched it on the news the other night dear. In court it was said they were planning to used gas cylinders to make bombs. They were tossing up blowing up a Shia prayer hall, a building or a train. At first they were going to go on a stabbing frenzy. Go and have a lay down mothballs.

Hmmm.

A western Sydney man arrested over an alleged terrorism plot is a quiet nurse who never spoke about his religious beliefs to friends or colleagues at the removalist company where he worked.
