An unfortunate accident you wouldnt expect anything in a driveway.

If you are a stranger to the driveway, and your vision is obscured, you get out and look before driving in, blind.  (You really should get out and look even if you are not a stranger to the driveway.)  You don't just drive into a blind spot, do you?

What would you expect.  A toddler, a dog, a bloody great log...what?  You cannot see what is there, you do not drive yer car there.  If you do, you cop the consequences.  Your fault 100%.

Fair point I have been guilty on numerous occasions.

at one in the morning? NOTHING. The lady who owned the house was in the car, if there was any sort of permanent obstruction that can't be seen she would have told him to stop.

For all you know she  may have asked him to drive in as she didn't want to walk down the drive at 1 am in the dark on her own. Let me guess, if she was your customer you would have said 'no, you'll have to walk', right?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Nah.  I would have got out of the Car, had a look to ensure a blind spot was safe to drive onto.

What makes you think she owned that house by the way (not that it is relevant?)

Call it what you want.  You do not have the driving experience I do.  Cab Owners  are constantly told by a Driver who, for example, reversed into a pole at night, "Oh I did not know it was there."

"Well guess what Fella, it was there and you hit it.  You pay, not my insurance."

No safe, non-negligent driver will drive his Car into/onto a blind spot...even at 3.00 am in the morning.

I delivered pizzas through the night for 5 yrs. You're not the only person who's ever driven

no safe cab owner would ever instruct his driver to get out of the cab and walk down a dark driveway at night. It's a robbery waiting to happen.

No wonder cods has had enough.  What does it take to be banned from here?  Cods gets done on the drop of a hat, yet others like Nicole Page 2016 in this very Thread, get, without a ban, to yet again vilify me/my Wife because she is Indian.  You will see the Posts up there, including the snide 'delivery' reference.

See the back ground here:

Link.

She has been suspended for it previously, even apologised for it, and there she is, in this Thread, repeating the dose, and she is still logged on here.

Amazing.

Well GMods, I'll take it my own hands from now on to defend my self and my Wife.  Yer as useful as an ashtray on a motor bike.

Angry

Installed the Uber app on my new Nextbit Robin just last night. Looking forward to continue avoiding cabs in 2017 ...
