Rucking
Nov 25th, 2016 at 5:44pm

I've been rucking twice a week for a month. This morning I had 15kgs on board. For the rest of the day you feel like you're floating.

Do it!!!!

For anyone who needs to get fit quickly, I just can't recommend this enough.

I've been walking for at least an hour a day with 10 or 20kgs in a backpack and the fitness benefits are amazing!

This morning I did a 10km 20kg walk/run.

This is like a fitness hack!

Still rucking, but not so much in summer. Funny I dragged the bag out yesterday as the weather turns cool then found this. Interesting read.

yeah, big fan of this, been doing it for a while. I had a weight vest which held 20 kgs, distributes the weight.

I've got a really nice laptop backpack. It's old and made for the big heavy laptops and easily holds a couple of weight plates in the sleave so they don't move around.
Doing 15kgs at the moment.

My weight vest fell apart (made in China) so I just use a rucksack now, 15 kg is a fair weight, thats more or less what I use.

I used to spar (boxing) with a mate and we would take turns wearing the weight vest, trying to get out of the way of a punch wearing an extra 20 kg is a workout in  itself.

10kg I hardly notice, 15 is perfect as it doesn't feel like much while walking but it's doing good. I think much more may be in injury territory.

I injured an ankle trying to run up a hill carrying about that weight so yes, you are correct. I can still remember the raised eyebrows of my Doctor when he asked how I got the injury and I told him, he said, maybe you shouldnt do that in future. Lol. I dont try to jog anymore while carrying that weight.

I was saying that I should do the walk with a heavy backpack thing, the other night. I wish I had thought of that 2 years ago.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)
