Really?

The shirt, or the hat?

In other news:

Clinton won the popular vote, thus, the people's choice for President was Clinton.

It was the Electoral College that chose Trump, not the people.

America didn't get the President they wanted.

These are the facts.

greggery,

On that basis, maybe Hillary should march into the US Congress and demand that she be inaugurated next January as the POTUS,         .....because 'the numbers' show her winning the majority of the popular vote, and proves that the American people want her as Pres.

That kind of logic [i.e. yours] is absurd, and defies reason.

That is the kind of logic that a petulant teenager would use, to justify his/her insistence that he/she is correct [in the face of a differing reality].

Clinton won the popular vote (fact), thus, the people's choice for President was Clinton (fact).

If that is so, then why isn't Clinton going be inaugurated next January as the POTUS ?

It's not "if that is so", it's a fact.

And, she isn't being inaugurated because the President is chosen by the Electoral College.

Try to keep up.

The undeniable fact remains, though, that Clinton won the popular vote, thus, the people's choice for President was Clinton.

America did not get the President they wanted.

In a parallel universe [created by greggery],          .......in January 2018, Hillary Clinton will be inaugurated as POTUS.

ITS TRUE!!!!!!!!!

.

......meanwhile in our universe;

Donald Trump won the recent electoral contest for POTUS.

......and Hillary Clinton didn't.

No.  She didn't win the Presidential election.

The election was won by Trump (and he'll be inaugurated in 2017, not 2018).

Try to keep up.

However, Clinton won the popular vote, thus, the people's choice for President was Clinton.

America are not getingt the President they wanted.

If Americans had wanted Clinton they would have turned out in numbers sufficient to win her enough electoral college votes to become president. They did not. Get used to it, instead if whining about a system that has been in place in its current form for over 100 years.  Roll Eyes

I think that is a key comment.

Trump is not a politician, and he gives the impression that he could do something really dumb at any minute, as many of his pre-election statements indicate.

He was good enough to fool about 25% of American voters, but I doubt he is good enough to fool the career polititians he will have to work with.  And if even his own party feels that there is a better option there ready to slip right into the job - then he may find he has few friends if something goes a bit pear-shaped.

I agree, 100%.

Trump may very well have handed Pence the Presidency, without even knowing it.

He may not be as smart as he thinks he is.

He's doing no such thing.

We predicted he would back down on every single one of his election campaign promises.

And, he has.

Really?

He will deport illegal criminals - starting with criminals and working is way down. Big job, preventing more illegals coming in - fence, wall, field force, whatever.
Clinton - she is crushed and humiliated enough waaaaay beyond anyone's expectation. She is finished, completely. No hundred thousand dollar speaking engagement for Hill and Bill any more. They are done like dinner. She is dead, buried, cremated. Trump is magnanimous.

What else have you got?
