No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

They're not spit-shining with minties in that last test. Perhaps still wondering how to shine a pink ball.

Skull on Matthew Wade:

Link.

This says it all (well, some of it anyway):

Quote:
"Rod Marsh was my wicketkeeper throughout my career. Twenty-four Tests behind the stumps, he never described any of my deliveries back to me 'great bowling'.

"Over after over I was ripping leg spinners, wrong-uns, flippers — without a word coming from behind the stumps. Occasionally he would walk past me at the end of an over and say, 'can you give me something to do'."

Yes, but Skull hasn't often commented on his inability to actually spin the bowl. Doubt Marsh actually had that much to do.

In fact, he has often commented about the 'pies' he bowled.

I watched the WBBL over the weekend.

I quite enjoyed it.

The highlight was probably the little West Indian girl Deandra Dottin   that was channeling Viv Richards, she had his swagger and won the game for Brisbane

I thought the Heat were down and out for the game until Dottin and Jonassen turned it around and won the game for Brisbane.
