In the second innings Kohli let a straight one from O'Keefe go and was clean bowled....I find his lack of grace and respect typical of this Kholi who does not lead well under pressure IMO....I cannot wait until the second Test....

Quote:
India captain Virat Kohli labelled his side's batting performance during the first Test against Australia as "criminal", suggesting they effectively gifted Steve O'Keefe his 12-wicket haul.Kohli launched a scathing attack on India's display after it lost by 333 runs to Australia in Pune, with the tourists having wrapped up victory inside three days.

Spinner O'Keefe did the damage with the ball for Australia with figures of 6-35 in each innings, his second haul having helped dismiss India for 107 in its run chase on Saturday.

O'Keefe had also destroyed India's first innings on day two, the hosts making an embarrassing 105 to concede a 155-run lead to Australia.

Kohli, who fell to O'Keefe for 13 in India's second innings, was dismissive of the Australian tweaker's role in the Pune result.

"If you don't apply yourself, any bowling attack can look dangerous," Kohli said on Saturday.

Frontrunners they are. A Tailor made pitch, enough to take themselves down..Bwaha.

I love Steve Smith. I thought he was a bit whimpy when he first started, but glad to be proven wrong there.

The Indians were banking on that disgusting wicket.

The Aussies had planned well with batting practice and O'Keefe surprised everyone.

Its interesting that both sides used finger spinners, and no leg spinners.

I think because the wicket took that much turn the finger spinners could get turn and be way more consistent than most leg spinners.

How do India try and cheat now?, a spinners paradise did not work.
They have a couple of good quicks, but Australia has two of the best in the world and batsmen that thrive on faster wickets.

It will be more spin in the next test,, maybe not as friendly as the last one.

It will be another win the toss and win the test wicket

Kohli out again not playing a shot to a spinner....

Quote:
The landmark moment on Saturday came when Lyon trapped Kohli on the back foot, plumb lbw not playing a shot – marking the fifth time Lyon has dismissed the world’s best batsman in his career.

Seems like it is India in trouble against spin. Or Australia have improved remarkably.

Wade dropped the ball on a stumping
yet again
!!!!!

The second one was easy and if he'd dropped that.....it surely would have been the end for him.

Pitch is one day and an hour or so 'old.'  Yet now, balls are almost going underground.

Aust 3/ 156

Of note,  M.T. Renshaw did very well.
60 off 196 balls, we have the ascendancy, vital to occupy the crease. He did that.

Quite noticeable how that pitch is changing how it 'works.'  Few hours ago, the ball was diving.  Now, it is not.

We need at least a 150-200 run lead on the first innings to win this.
