All proceeds are going to charity (Red Cross).

From just the first day of a limited opening.  It's a way to get back to full swing operations while looking caring and sharing.

Better to just shut the place down and sack all the workers.

There's so many unemployed people now, thanks to the Libs, that a few hundred more won't make a difference.

Good idea, Gordy.

Hysterical pecca making hysterical comments as usual.

Close the place until an independent engineering report is done for every ride.

A mechanical and structural engineering check was done on the ride last month, by a specialist external engineering firm.

Did they just audit the one ride, or were they all inspected?

You would think they would have some rigid compliance standards they have to adhere to , if my memory serves me correct they had lap belts on that ride ???

Bit of a concern if the ride operator wasn't insisting on them wearing belts , if they're actually equipped with them , you would assume nobody would've been ejected from ride if that were the case .

Why would you think politicising this tragedy would be appropriate in any form?

You're a piece of cr@p haemorrhoid.

The seat-belts come undone quite easily.

Go to 3:38 to 3:50, and then 4:42 to 4:48

The ride in question was checked recently which is why a full and independent  engineering audit of every ride needs to be done.  Allegations of poor maintenance are surfacing so thats the only way to restore public confidence.

It's being discussed right now, so I believe, at their AGM.

It's for the parent company's CEO, Deborah Thomas.

She used to run Women's Weekly.

Wasn't her name different then?

Anyway, from what I'm hearing on the radio right now, she hasn't been given the money ... yet.

Come one.. come all.. get yer tickets for the one and only, the unique to Dreamworld, the undisputed champ-een ride - The Slippery Slope Death Ride!  Featuring the world famous 'boat flip and trap' with life-sized replicas of corpses stuck in the rails and chains..... better than Pirates of The Carib.... better than The Texas Chainsaw re-enactment - beats any ghost house in the world for reality....

"The meeting also voted on a proposal to give Ms Thomas a performance bonus, in shares currently valued at more than $800,000.

"Ardent Leisure chairman Neil Balnaves said that it was not appropriate to discuss Ms Thomas's bonus.

"It is just inappropriate to talk about commercial matters at this point in time. And I don't want to comment any further on it."

Even the QLD Police have urged Dreamworld not to open tomorrow and are meeting with management to discuss it.

So while Peccer was being hysterical and using the tragedy for yet another scummy disgusting political cheap shot, I actually had a meeting with a long serving now retired Ardent Leisure board member this very morning.

He's been on the phone for the last 2 days mentoring a few of he newer board members. I won't go into detail about exactly what he said, but regardless of what engineering checks have been done, and what boxes have been ticked, it will come down to how good their regular maintenance routine is. And word on the street is, it's not good, hence my comment the park should stay closed.

Would it come as a surprise the board and managements main focus for the last 2 days has been getting legal to check all their insurance certificates?

As usual,
Gordy = on the ground real information.
Pecca = scummy disgusting political cheap shots even when 4 people have died. What utter scum.

Do you think it was appropriate to try and score a cheap political shot on the back of this?
