Dream World..
Oct 27th, 2016 at 6:22am

how is it possible that they are opening back up tomorrow... Friday?

the place should be shut down for a month and have safety inspections done on every ride...

word has it that the directors have been very secretive with inspection reports.. including earlier this year that some rides were not "fit for service"  Angry

An incident like that should have them hermetically sealed for a while until everything has been checked by real engineers.

Profiteering bastards. Was never really into theme parks after the age of 10, I guess when you can jump a motor x bike 10m in the air, theme park rides are a bit ho hum.

From just the first day of a limited opening.  It's a way to get back to full swing operations while looking caring and sharing.

Yes just trying to offset the very bad publicity with a one day stunt!

Agree with others on here that all rides should now be thoroughly inspected for safety compliance!

Perhaps have those bad  unions provide the inspectors!  Grin Grin Grin

Better to just shut the place down and sack all the workers.

There's so many unemployed people now, thanks to the Libs, that a few hundred more won't make a difference.

Good idea, Gordy.

Hysterical pecca making hysterical comments as usual.

Close the place until an independent engineering report is done for every ride.

mm thanks to the Qld Labor govt this place was allowed to remain open no matter how many times it broke down...anything for money with labor..more important than safety and lives it seems... they probably made a large donation to labor.

Ditto.

I've been on that ride a few times.

Very sad.

Why would you think politicising this tragedy would be appropriate in any form?

You're a piece of cr@p haemorrhoid.

A mechanical and structural engineering check was done on the ride last month, by a specialist external engineering firm.

Did they just audit the one ride, or were they all inspected?
