Exercise Monitor-Anyone got a FITBIT or equivalent
Oct 25th, 2016 at 3:00pm

Anyone on here got a fitbit or other brand (activity tracker)

Here is a bit of info for those interested

The best fitness trackers for 2016

By Cameron Faulkner 4 days ago Wearables
In the name of good health, you deserve a new fitness tracker

Update: The Fitbit Charge 2 is now out - take a look down below to find where the latest device from Fitbit ranks in our guide. Meanwhile, the Fitbit Flex 2 is almost ready for our full review too.

A fitness tracker is the perfect way to monitor your activity easily and with unmatched accuracy. Think of it as an electronic finger on the pulse, constantly measuring your vitals, quality of sleep and step count.

Today's fitness band market is stuffed with compelling devices, most of which can do a pretty good job at the basics of tracking. But frankly, we're only concerned with the best, and you should be too.

Here are 7 fitness tracker tips to get you started.
http://www.techradar.com/how-to/wearables/7-tips-to-get-the-most-from-your-fitne...

We won't be looking all techy wristwear here - check out our best smartwatch guide too.
http://www.techradar.com/news/wearables/best-smart-watches-what-s-the-best-weara...

If you're looking for a fitness tracker recommendation though, you've come to the right place. Here, we'll showcase the best devices out there, and explain how they rank against each other in terms of stand-out features, price, design and the quality of their companion software – all of which are worth considering when monitoring something as important as your health.

The Fitbit Charge 2 is the best fitness tracker you can buy right now. It's more expensive than most of the other options from Fitbit, but if you're looking to go jogging this is a great choice that won't cost you as much as a traditional running watch.

It connects with the GPS on your phone, has a large screen to display your data, a heart rate tracker and new fitness features we've only previously seen on the Fitbit Blaze.

I have a brain. I don't need gimcracks, geegaws or cheap toys to keep fit.

Daughter got a Fitbit charge at the beginning of the year. I'd have not bought her one and Mrs Gordy flipped when she found out the price

She used her own money and although she still likes it, it's a nice looking bit of kit, it was a good lesson in blowing your money on latest craze items.

Just chuck Runkeeper on your phone for free Smiley

Well Greg, sometimes when you have a circuit that you regularly run it's nice to see if you improve your times.

Your phone tells the time.

The Runkeeper app announces your pace per KM so you lets you know to pick that pace up if you want to beat a PB.

I don't use it all the time, just when I feel like I'm in the mood for doing a PB.

The problem with using the phone for me cycling is that its a bit bulky, so it sits in the saddle bag. I have a Garmin GPS that links up to Strava instead.

Another good little function with Fitbit is at also works as a sleep monitor. If Firstborn wakes up looking tired I can log into the interface and see how many times she's woken up.
