North Korea would be making its biggest mistake in attacking South Korea again.... part of the peace settlement will be that Korea will be re-united under a 'democratically elected government' backed by the United States. The Fat Boy will be gone with the wind.....

If that 'speed bump', which used to include the 2nd Infantry Division, is attacked, the US will immediately declare war on the attacker. I'm pretty sure first strikes by US Naval airpower, followed rapidly by deployment of airpower, will quickly halt any attack down the Korean Peninsula - IF it ever gets past the fortified line, and is foolish enough to engage the massive firepower in place in attempting to do so.

It takes much less than 24 hours to have US Continental air over NK as first strikes, followed by rapid deployment of attack aircraft.

Perhaps NK could try a reverse Inchon and try an amphibious landing behind the front line... watch US Intelligence focus on NK maritime lift capability.... Fat Boy's sabre-rattling with missiles will get him killed FAST if he over-steps the line, and he knows it.... direct assault will fail with heavy casualties.... watch that amphib capability.

But even Fat Boy wouldn't be that stupid... surely?

OK.. OK - NK could lift 7000 'special forces' types.... in 102 boats....

How would they get 102 craft past the watching eyes all at once? Their 'special forces' are more commando types, as opposed to unconventional warfare specialists (remember that argument about the use of the SASR?), and I doubt they would be 'swimming in a sea of fish' in South Korea.

ADDS:- No - so which British general is this?

BTW:- Hackett's 4th Parachute Brigade had never trained together at night, a severe shortcoming when it came to Arnhem. Not his fault - time was short, and they were dropped straight into the middle of a raging fight, a fight raging across the very landing zones they were using.

I have always said its the mini guys we need to worry about..

in this case who ever thought Nth Korea would even dream of nuclear rockets....

Russia and AMerica have been pushing and shoving each other for years....

it wont happen...if they start something they know there will be no finishing it..

but when I see kim Jong un thumbing his nose...
here we have a bloke who doesnt care if they cant feed the masses.....he plain doesnt care.... he has the army and now he has nuclear rockets......

we are dealing with someone who is psycho and has god only knows what POWER......this is a worry! I have always thought that..

I am not sure Trump is the person to deal with it either..
