Don't vote infidel.
Sep 27th, 2016 at 7:47pm

I wonder if Mr Karnal's stoner mate will vote for an infidel?

"Be careful on the judgement day — God will ask you, why did you choose the infidel as the leader, while I have warned you not to. Believers should not choose a non-Muslim as their leader," he said.

This is all because of US foreign policy.

And here's the real story that both Gordon and alevine will ignore:

Quote:
But polls suggest Ahok is currently the frontrunner as a popular candidate among the young and rising middle class.

The only possible way that Ahok could be leading the polls is through significant support from muslims.

Quote:
Jakarta voters don’t care what religion Ahok is,” said Indonesia of Indonesia political analyst Hamdi Muluk told The Jakarta Post on Wednesday, adding that voters’ preference for a candidate was based on performance and platform.

I'll applaud it when it happens.
My fight is with conservative Islam and anything north of that.

why would you put that up Gandalf? Gordy and Yadda may have to review their whole opinion on Muslims now ...

don't worry, it won't take long
they'll review for about ten seconds before deciding it must be another Muslim lying and their original position is correct

Typical gandalf misunderstood yet again.  The concerns are the words of the clerics. Where do you think this angst against a non Muslim comes from? US foreign policy?

Well, let's wait to see if the election outcome is indeed based on the quality of candidate as opposed to their religion.  I would hope Jakarta, being the financial hub of Indonesia, does indeed contain the majority of moderate Muslims, and also Muslims who don't believe the mumbo jumbo.

In that country? Oh you must be referring to "that country" whose politics is overwhelmingly secular and who has, through the ballot box, relegated political Islam to almost complete irrelevancy.

No, that's where my stoner mate comes from.

Who's not really a stoner, and doesn't really come from Aceh, but all's fair in blaming Islam.

It doesn't mean what it says, no?
