Same sex marriage is like an atheist wanting to be a vicar or a whit man wanting to be a rapper.

For some people, that is as much as they want to know.

This Lgbti  ragmopp, rubbish is only alienating them from the people they want to support them.

Constant demands, insults and self isolation from the general community make it hard to have any sympathy for them.

SSM is a voluntary, mutually agreed upon contract between consenting adults.

Genocide, child marriages, and detention without trial are not.

Which makes me wonder, why did you introduce them to the argument?

88EA  Certain unions are not marriages
A union solemnised in a foreign country between:
                     (a)  a man and another man; or
                     (b)  a woman and another woman;
must not be recognised as a marriage in Australia.

We need to understand what will happen if the yes vote gets up. Same sex couples in foreign countries that DO NOT allow same sex marriage, will flood into Australia from around the world. That's 76 countries that will be encouraging their homos to migrate to OZ and probably glad to get rid of them

I'm a NO voter, after doing research on the current laws and proposed amendments, I can see major problems with an already controversial immigration bipartisan immigration policy, getting worse. With health issues and misuse of the already overburdened social security system

My advise would be to vote NO. There's a lots more ramifications to this issue than meets the eye. Child adoption law changes would likely follow on from a yes vote also. It'll be about a lot more than just weddings

You have reliable evidence to support this claim, of course?

Ah.  So we would be "in danger of being swamped by" poofs who don't like New Zealand, for example.  "I don't like it."

Yes of course, they're across the world from Africa (more than half of them) through to the Middle East, India, Indonesia, New Guinea and a couple in South America

There is no way I'm gunna vote to give my endorsement
for blokes to ram their dicks up some other blokes stinking poo hole & call it a marriage.

I can't believe that we're gunna waste $160 million on this.

Your obsession with male to male anal sex is a little bewildering, Booby.

First of all, women, who will marry other women (same sex) as a result of the inevitable change in legislation, don't have dicks.

Secondly, heterosexual couples engage in anal sex all the time.

Moreover, they don't call it marriage - it's called sex.

Thirdly, not all gay men have anal sex.

And, finally, it's none of your goddamn business what consenting adults do to each other in the privacy of their bedrooms.

I voted no because of what I have heard Marxists openly admit about 'gay marriage': this is not about granting 'equal rights' (adults already have the right to marry), but about destroying the insitution of marriage. I think a video was even released during the Irish referendum which captured one of them admitting this publicly. Why would I want to see the central tenet of family life destroyed?

The same argument could be made for pornography: that the hypersexualization of women has a negative impact on the attitudes toward women by men.

If we're talking about cause and effect, then we can talk about many things: the impact of the capitalist economy on the family; or the impact of globalization on the youth.... There are so many external factors that influence our institutions and values; but for some reason religious people are only concerned about 'marriage' and not anything else. They're passive to greed in society and are tolerant of the establishment, both of which cause more harm to society than gay couples, yet gay couples are demonized in society?
