He's busy digging up young plants & potting them so he can put them down on the roadside and try to sell them. We've talked about pricing, marketing ideas, how to advertise, saving money he earns . . . The next generation of capitalists has to be taught early.

I agree ... they're never to young to start. I also think it's a good idea to involve them in the thinking process whenever you or your wife are considering a business proposal. Let them know your thought processes and how / why you've reached your conclusions ... as they get older let them come to their own conclusions and decide whether to put their money in on it. I would start with about the equivalent of a weeks pocket money ... if they go with your decision and you make 5%, give them a 5% return, if they don't run with your decision and you make money, they get no return .. they have to wear the losses too!

Being as I am the young fella's 2-I-C while he's not here, and charged with servicing his mini produce stall, I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the honesty of the customers, all 2 or 3 of them.

(Unlike when I worked as a tax agent for quite a few years, I was not surprised by the dishonesty of many of the customers)
