Who do you want to replace Assad - Putin? Uncle? Attaturk? ISIS? Please think about your answer before you explain. And please explain. What alternative to troops is there, karnal? An interim government, with proper support of peacekeeping and also resources (money) to then transition to a government selected by the Syrians. And each time a regressive leftist cries about some "legality" of the interim gocernment, as they did in Iraq, we give the regressive some cardboard and crayons and tell them to go back to doing what their good at. Just colour within the lines, karnal! Oh, I see. You mean like Iraq. You left out almost a decade of military occupation, but we’re all friends here, no? Yes, and how long did it take west/east Germany? The point is you need resources and you need to have commitment.
