Raising generations of juveniles

Millions of grown people charging about the world seeking out Pokémon.

I ask you. Is there sperm & ovum damage on a worldwide scale?

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

One woman I spoke to last night who was looking for pokemon with her kids, even told me that her husband, a long haul driver, looks for pokemon on the freeways when he's driving interstate

I went to kings park on the weekend, and without a hint of exaggeration, over 90% of people there were hunting pokemon.

I talked to a park ranger who said that its been that way for a few weeks - they were there rain hail or shine and those who werent seeking pokemon and just wanted to visit the park, couldnt find parking spots and just gave up.  She also advised to take a different exit when i left, as there was a traffic jam in the park due to pokemon hunters.

It's the same on St Georges Tce, and down at Betty's Jetty.

I see them all the time, walking around in small packs all gazing down at their phones.

I saw a kid in Vic Park yesterday trying to catch one (you swipe the screen to throw balls, I think), and it looked like he was having some sort of seizure.

He kept missing, obviously, and his hand was waving about like a madman while he swayed to the left and right.

Strange people.

I have some difficulty in understanding it myself.

Perhaps I am less driven than some.
Perhaps I have less dependence on the electronic media.

I cannot be bothered with angry birds, and I abhor computer games.

I would much rather be out there doing things and being part of the experience.

But then I'm nearly 60 and was brought up in a different world.
