Rather meaty for a fish and with a texture very much like tuna.  It's best grilled or pan-fried.  Marinate it in olive oil and grill or fry for about 3 minutes a side (depending on the thickness of the steak).  You have to be careful not to overcook it or it might go a bit dry.  It's particularly nice with a salsa or a caponata.

Lobster, Crab, Prawns, Moreton Bay Bugs, Scampi, John Dory.  Pink Pigfish is beautiful but I now know that they are very slow growing (and apparently friendly) so I have not had any for many years and won't ever again.

Australian Salmon (Sea perch)

Lots of people just won't eat it ,, but I love it.

Very strong fish flavour.

Must be cut thick along the grain and cooked in batter.

Baked it turns quite dry

Grin Grin Grin

Just in the last couple of months I've become the foster-parent of a couple of 'rescue' hens - with one of them already laying eggs for me. When they see me - they come running, expecting some more of the 'treats' I feed them with.

**

Likes: King Prawns. I had a $10 bowl of them last night that I shelled and dipped in vinegar while watching UFC on tele.

Also cod, simmered in milk and butter and splashed with mint sauce.

Kippers.

Smoked Rainbow trout. Very boney, but ...

Totally dried and flattened salted octopus.

Ditto with shrimps.

Mussles.

***

Dislikes: Jellied eel ... calamari ...

**

Don't know: Oysters ... but then how would you know what they taste like if you just swallow them as you are supposed to do?
