Animal skins, the warmth of domesticated dingos and the use of fire, Herbie.

Despite the claims by settlers and others, today it's now fairly well understood that not all Indigenous Australians were fully nomadic in the SE corner of the continent and that they wore clothing in the colder months.

Today, there are animal skin cloaks which were sewn by Indigenous women which are considered by many modern seamstresses to be the equal or better of the comparable colonial clothing of the time, Herbie.
