A good scripture :

Matthew 13:14-16

14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

“ ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.

Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.'

16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

Where does it say that ?

No I strive to be Holy and where I fail I bring it before the Lord in Prayer and ask for forgiveness through the Salvation Jesus Christ has bought me. I strive to be a better person each day. As it should be with a real God and not a made up one or one to suit myself. A real God would understand we live in a world full of sin. In fact our real home is heaven once you are saved. We are but a mist that appears for a moment in this world to share the free Gospel Message of Salvation with mankind.

You eat shellfish and wear mixed fabric. You eat pork. These are an abomination just as selling your arse is.

Hell bound are you.

Go back and read my response to that, then we can continue with more nonsense no doubt. If you don't want to read what I post and try and understand it fair enough then debate over I guess. No need to waste each others time with nonsense is there.

Are you trying to override what your god has commanded with some hand waving? The law is, do no eat shell fish, pig or wear mixed cloth, you do all. You break the law and should be taken to the city gates.

You seemed to have skipped where God commanded that you could eat those things now. Why do you ignore posts made to you ? Or isn't God allowed to say that according to you ? Isn't God allowed to send His Son to die for your sins because that embarrasses you ? Isn't Christianity allowed to have a God of love because that doesn't suite your carnal desires and you would actually be accountable for your actions ?

Seriously just ignore this post,as you wish of course.

God commanded me to eat pig, shellfish an wear mixed cloth? After he commanded me not to? Halelujah! Where? I might be saved yet.

I already told you to go back and read my post. I won't be posting it again playing silly little games.

2 Timothy 4:3-4

"3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,  4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths."

How true.

When they devolve into quoting the bible they devolve into circular argument.

So you say yet you prove no circular argument. There is no circular argument. What is your circular argument that you perceive exists ?

I'd be a dickhead to provide a circular argument. That's the point.

That's right, Sprint. Keep them pearls in your imagination where they belong. Best not throw them before the animals you can't eat but can. Magical animal indeed.

Hmm so you only see the laws that you want to see. Thats a bit blinkered. I already showed you yet you purposely ignore because it makes you look , well a bit silly.

Why do you have no understanding when it is clearly explained to you. This is what you want to see. You ignore what you don't like. Why are you even here posting I guess.

It is clear you don't understand the subject matter presented to you so may I suggest that you go away and do a little study on the law and the old and new covenants and how God see's Christians and heathens like yourself. Then you may have a better understanding.

Are no prohibitions, prohibitions, laws laws? Are you saying Christians can bend the law? That the law is fluid? You can adapt, ideas are relative?

God can do what he wants to do with the Law as He did and has done. He is God. If you don't like it then its tough titties I am afraid. if you don't like the fact that He made a New Covenant with mankind well I guess its just tough titties there as well if you don't like it.

The only reason you have stuck yourself in the OT is you are trying to make out God is a big bad nasty God and not a loving one that sent His only Son to pay the price for your sins. So you hang there trying to quote portions of the law ignoring the rest, not to mention the whole new covenant in your own circular argument. Grin. Just a minor omission of course Grin.

The pearls are the good news from God that you can have eternal life because His Son Jesus has paid the price for you and all you have to do is freely believe. Scarey and disgusting I know. Grin

You are free to call that imaginary and reject it as you have done. I have no problems with this as you have free will and been bought to a point of decision on the matter.

I posted that just so you know what the big scarey nasty pearls were that were being thrown before you so you can keep an eye out in the future so you don't get upset ok.

BTW for the record you are in no position to call them imaginary pearls of wisdom as clearly you cannot prove otherwise.

Cheers

No, the pearls are your sinful wayward interpretation of your sinful religious book. I don't want them. Cast them elsewhere.

edit: Could I suggest you just throw them away and never look back?

Incorrect the doctrine in the bible determines what the pearls are not you, as quiet simply it is in the text. Try reading it sometime Grin

I never cast them before you. No one did. You seem paranoid, all I did was discuss a subject. I never asked you to get saved.

You rejected Jesus Christs salvation of your own free will as stated. You are free to do that. I am fine with this, that was your decision. Sure I'd prefer you to have eternal life but I won't ram it down your throat. That was your decision you choose your own masters house. Salvation is free and so is your God given will.
