More Lebbos Shooting Each Other In Public
Apr 29th, 2016 at 1:09pm

One dead, two injured in Sydney shopping centre shooting
A man has died and two other people have been injured after up to eight shots were fired in a shopping centre car park in Sydney's west.

Police were called to a car park at the Bankstown Central Shopping Centre, on Rickard Road, about 11.50am and found two men and a woman suffering gunshot wounds.

One of the men died at the scene, police said.

No arrests have been made and it is believed the gunman is still on the run.

The injured man and woman are believed to have suffered gunshot wounds to the leg, and are being taken to Liverpool Hospital.

The centre has been placed into lockdown as emergency services and police remain on the scene, with motorists and pedestrians urged to avoid the area.

There are unconfirmed reports the man shot dead is Walid "Wally" Ahmad, who was linked to a fatal shooting at a Condell Park smash repairer earlier this month.

The shooting occurred in a car park at a Bankstown shopping centre. (9NEWS)

Witnesses told 9NEWS today's shooting was a "horrific" scene.

"As I was parking my car, I heard gun shots. I went upstairs and there were three on the floor, two guys and a girl," one woman said.

"There was a guy lying in a pool of blood. They were trying to revive him, but he [had] passed away already.

"I was in the war zone in Lebanon and wasn't as scared as what I just saw," she said.

Imagine how bad it would be if they let the leftards flood the country with muslim refugees.

I am really glad Howard brought in those strict gun laws.

Good point. We'll detain the bodies in the morgue then.

That should do the trick.

imagine what it would be like if he hadnt...

Quote:
University of Sydney gun researcher Philip Alpers said the gun could be an attempt to get around Australia's 1996 gun laws.

"Shooters are urging gun dealers all the time to push the law, bring in something a bit more exciting, and of course the gun dealers want to do it because they want to create a new market," he told 7.30.

Professor Alpers said the gun's ammunition capacity and rate of fire meant it should be relegated to the more restrictive firearms licence categories.

"It's all about rapid fire capacity," he said.

"The post 1996 gun laws were put in for a very good reason, to reduce the availability of fire arms suitable for rapid fire shooting — shooting 26 people in 90 seconds in the Port Arthur cafe.

"If you allow more and more of these rapid fire weapons to be brought into the country you are upping the ante each time."

Actually I thought the gun in question was just a lever action shotgun?

There are numerous lever action rifles already legally registered in Australia as far as I know.

Correct me if I am wrong.
