Paying someone 50 bucks (per fortnight) to vacuum, dust, wipe down benches and flush the loo is NORMAL. I am NOT disabled ... I keep a neat and tidy house anyhow .... all the cleaner really does is the "floors". I get somebody else to do the windows .... mow the grass and so forth.

I am giving a person a JOB. Don't you approve of that? Some people want to be "domestics" because of the hours .... I treat them as friends, not employees ....

Domestics earn about the same as Checkout Chicks and Child Minders.

Your not disabled, and yet you get someone in to do your work for you  and you live on your own?, I wouldn't brag about that it just makes you look very  lazy , nothing more !  .

Say what?!    Undecided

What's wrong with paying people to do the stuff you don't want to do?

Nothing if you can afford it.  But.....who (with any sense of self) would leave a skid marked unflushed dunny for a cleaner to flush and clean?  Anyone?

Certainly not I.

In fact, if I go for a leak and there's a skid mark on the bowl, I'll piss it off ... even if it's not my own.

That's the sort of guy I am.

Somehow, I reckon that would be a national male sport.

I'd hire
Gregg-the-Floater
in a flash to scrub out the thunder-box in my outdoor dunny and in the home.

Nothing new to me.

When I was a kid, I lived in a country town that had thunder boxes down the backyard.

The night soil men would come in the early morning, down the back lanes, and empty the contents.

Sometimes, they'd pull out the can while you were mid-dump.

Ah, the memories.

As a young teen, my cousin was chasing me trying to kiss me. I ran into our outside toilet and slammed the door on his fingers and broke them.

Every home should have an outside toilet with a strong, solid door.

I don't really want to be seen as equal to such people.  Vanity is all-consuming in some. And they want equality, no?
