Yeh, i never bought the pink floyd stuff but rather chose to dig it when others played it: it's cool alright.

It's like slow heavy metal, lol... they were probably built for comfort  Cool

One of my many stones faves

The Rolling Stones performing 'Honky Tonk Women', live at Madison Square Garden with Sheryl Crow. The performance took place in January 2003 on the Licks World Tour, celebrating the band's 40th anniversary.

I would give Sheryl One!

(Rolling Stones? What garbage). Music dried up around the early '60's.

To me Dylan takes you through the emotions of a sad story where the Stones simply play an upbeat song.

I like the stones but to me this sounds much better if you close your eyes and don't watch Mick poncing about on stage in his purple shirt. I like him playing the harp but his vocals really are not that flash either. The other stones song posted is much much better, Mick with someone who can sing makes a difference.

We will likely have to agree to disagree but IMO it is chalk and cheese. The Stones great band - this song ordinary in the very category for me.

I don't know how anyone can have a favourite. .... the best song is determined by whatever your mood is at the time.

Although I put tarantella up as a joke, when I'm feeling nostalgic, it often does seem like the best song, other times when I'm singing Bohemian Rhapsody at the top of my lungs that seems like the best song ever, when I'm feeling proud as an aussie you just can't beat 'land down under' ... and I have another 100 songs that would easily qualify

Christ, you Aussies listen to a lot of relic hippie poo. I need what's pure.

Would you like the coup de gras, the merci now or later? Perhaps I'll just let our local rednecks feed on you, how dare you!

You know, I had to look up who The Seekers actually were. Sort of a pseudo-hippie Australian versh of The Mamas and Papas.  Seems like whatsherface Judith Durham was the band though for without here, the rest of those dudes would all be accountants by now.

I must admit I have never heard their music until you posted their vid. Appears they had some hits and were world renowned. Judith has a great voice though. I'd take it over Kylie and/or Olivia anyday.
