A pig will always be a pig even if there's a husky trying to wake him up. LOL.

I have a good number of Dogs in my life currently via people (owners) of whom I come in contact with often.
Where I work for 3 days, a Golden Retriever is nuts for 'water' - especially out of the hose at full jet. Have a shell bath and a bathtub bath for him and he jumps in them often for fun and cooling down on the hot days.

My missus and I have a twelve months old Blue Burmese, it is the craziest cat one could have, she regularly out of the blue gets a bee in her bonnet and charges around the house up over lounges in and out of every room.

We had male one one in the late 1960s and it was the same, it used to spook our visitors and had to be locked in another room.  Since then we have had Siamese and Orientals as well but I dont remember them being as crazy.

Anyway its latest trick at 1am in the morning is to hop on the bed and drop one of her rolled up foil balls for me to throw.

I throw it out into the darkness, back she comes and drops it again.

And so it goes on for ten or fifteen minutes!

On Saturday arvo my wife wrapped some presents sisters kids and the sticky-tape she used was one of those big packing tape rolls.

After she finished, baby Gordy got hold of the tape and put it on his foot and was walking around the house with it. I just let him go for it as he seemed to be having fun.

Sunday evening firstborn needed to tape together something for homework and we couldn't find the sticky-tape anywhere. We asked him where it was, and he's actually usually good at finding something he's hidden but he just blanked us.

She really needed some tape so thought I'd walk to the servo to see if they had some, and called the dog for a walk.

he came bounding out of one of the bedrooms, roll of tape in mouth. Good doggy!

This went back about 18 years ago. But our newly adopted kitten became our family dog's favourite at a young age. The kitten looked like she respected the dog for protecting her. One night, the juvenile kitten was laying down in the lounge room. I was sitting in front of the sofa watching television. The dog was there keeping company. I decided to give the kitten a pat. I reached over to give the kitten a pat. But before I could pat the kitten, the dog started barking hysterically in a vicious tone towards me. Apparently, he determined that the act of reaching out towards the kitten was very much an aggressive thing. He had it in his mind that the kitten was going to get hurt. I withdrew from trying to pat the kitten and tried to console the dog that I was not going to do anything wrong. The dog acted like I was still being the aggressor, but settled a little. Then the kitten, who had shot up to take notice of the barking looked over at the dog. "Meow?" was her inquiry. The dog's heart melted, and he was happy again. Gave me another look to make sure I was not interfering in the kitten's safety. Then he walked over to say hello to the kitten.

Dogs often become protective of cats
and even human babies.
