I used to have a cat that brought home pieces of pizza rather than mice or birds. I would find them under the lounge and behind the toilet etc. One day (it had been going on for months) i met a neighbor who told me about how he and his family would go out the back veranda to eat pizza and a cat would run past snagging a piece. Every time.

One time i saw him do it to a mate who was eating a blueberry muffin and waving it around while he talked. The cat ran past him and snagged the muffin and took it under the bed.

Wish I had a video of it.

Great story.    Smiley

When I was a kid my Mother put a roast chicken on the table ready to serve,
turned around & it was gone.
The cat had dragged it out of site on to a chair behind the table
& was having a good feed.
We didn't tell the others -
we just cut the bit off that he chewed -
washed it & served it.

Cat fights with Coyote:

I just noticed this clip.

It was excellent and the best interaction I've seen between a dog and a cat in a long time.

The dog was so gentle - so was the cat surprisingly.

cats can get along with dogs and are very gentle and playful-  dogs are bigger aggressive and annoying to most cats and cats go into fight mode to protect themselves   ( habit)- but lovely to see them let their guard down sometimes

Cats use that strong middle claw on their front paws for grip. They have amazing athletic skills.  It makes you feel sorry for those cats who are declawed which is cruel. It leaves them very vulnerable and physically disabled.

I agree - cats should never be declawed.

Cats amaze me with their intelligence & skills.

I made the mistake many years ago of not desexing a young Tom until he was about ten months old. He started fighting with other cats and getting abscesses. Once he was desexed - he became a peaceful house cat.

I would have thought the shelter you bought the cats from AG would have desexed the cats before you took them home.

This Tom is one that adopted me Mantra a very pretty young male  and now that the deed has been done I have to get my female done first ( kittens) and then my male- good to know your boy settled- because this one is pretty feisty and even thpugh I keep him in- he does get out and look to scrap with their cats straight away- he is a handful but a gorgeous boy- I worry he will get sick through fighting as well- doesnt know how to catch anything - not even a mouse so he is friendly in that way at least-

Male cats will fight to the death over females.
They will also runaway for miles looking for females.
That's nature and the only way to stop them is to desex them.
