Well, well, well.  Looks like the coalition has a debt and deficit disaster.

So basically, the coalition continues to swim in debt, and has created such a disaster that there is no sight of surplus in the forward estimates.

When will the neocons wake up and stop destroying this country?

And there is no consideration that the Libs inherited an economy in freefall? REcord debt, record deficit and rapidly growing unemployment.  The lat has been fixed - now for the other two.

Sure will if they don't get a spinal injection and reorder the welfare budget on a needs basis instead of a votes basis.

Who created the debt and locked in spending for unfunded and underfunded projects that were "Abbott-proofed" so as to deny him the ability to reduce spending? That's right kids - Rudd, Gillard and the worst Treasurer we ever had - Swan. Who got left with the colossal ess of record debt and deficit? That's right idiots, Abbott and Hockey and now Turnbull and Morrison. Just love how you moreons attempt (and fail) to re-write history.

I expect our debt to be 100% of GDP before 2020.

50 to 60% is a pretty good result for the Libs so may well go to 100

You didn't recognise that Labor were cutting back more and continually holding on as well as possible.

The Libs accelerated the slide by choosing to do nothing for a long time and then instead of making sensible savings went for the throat of the poor and disadvantaged.

The position that Labor got to in 6 years in the midst of the GFC took the Liberals little over 12 months to double.

The December numbers are almost certain to show another disastrous result in terms of the budget projection, you remember the fun you had when Swan got those wrong how incompetent he was, well guess who is doing a lot worse.

Two years into the Liberals term with a promised surplus in year one and we are not only still going backwards but doing it with a sharp acceleration.

Swan's average expenditure cuts went to 1.5% of GDP and in comparison the Liberals are sitting on 0.7% that is right the Libs have been reducing expenditure at half Labors rate when in office.
