I agree electric cars are expensive, but thats not a reason to not do them. They will get cheaper.

But it's a pretty good reason not to buy them.

there are a thousand car manufacturers that sell much more expensive cars, and they still do well.

A thousand?????  and how many of these super-expensive cars do you see on the roads???  Hmmm... a handful just as you will see a handful of Teslas for exactly the same reason.

But Tesla are going for mass production which will bring the price down. Ferrari are not.

And when they get down to the price of the Commodore or Camry or whatever, people will buy them in droves. Until then, they don't offer value-for-money for the average family.

the highest selling car last year was not the commodore or the falcon, it was the MERC!

perhaps you should stick to topics you know something about like fantasy and fiction?

Do you never tired of being wrong?

1. Corolla
2. Hilux
3. Mazda 3

I got my year wrong ... it was the previous year

by the way, if you are going to tell me I am wrong, you might want to get your facts right. Commodore and Falcons are family cars. Corollas & mazda 3 are small cars and thereforein different categories. The hilux is in another category again.

Try to focus Maria ........... you were telling us Tesla wouldn't sell because it was more expensive than the commodore or falcon ...  I've proven that the price is not the determining factor.

Coming back for more are you, dopey?  It was the C CLASS - not all Mercedes.  And if the Tesla is so good and so affordable then why have they sold about 6 in the last year?  THEY ARE TOO EXPENSIVE!

they're still relatively unheard off in the Australian market. You'll see more of them soon enough.

Not at $100K you wont. You might see a handful, maybe.  Call me again when they get to the price of a Mazda 3 (my next probable purchase).
