No.

But it does remove guns from the general population, and that's a good thing.

In what way exactly?

Feel free to not use any hysterical irrational reasons for your answer. It's gonna be tough for you I know.

"Federal data from the Centers for Disease Control indicate that between 2007 and 2011, an average of 62 children age 14 and under were accidentally shot and killed each year."

Unlike you, I care about innocent children being killed.

So you believe that a law enacted in Australia that does nothing to prevent gun crime, but removes guns from the general population in Australia is good, because it prevents children being shot in the United States of America.

Less guns in Australia will reduce the risk of innocent children being accidentally shot in Australia.

The US stats were used as an example of what can happen.

If you need further clarification, just let me know.

Less guns in any society (in any country), will mean a reduced chance of children being accidentally shot and killed.

"Three-year-old Alabama boy fatally shoots his nine-year-old sister in the head with pistol he found on grandfather's bedroom nightstand" Link

The same thing can happen, in any country where guns are available to the general public.

I care about children.  You obviously don't.

The US stats are an example of what can and does happen in the US, please supply any actual evidence to support this or any other claim about this country and its gun owners, you dolt.

I did mention to not make any hysterical claims when trying to explain your stupid comment, didn't I?

The US stats are proof of what happens in the US.

However, they also serve as an example of what could happen in any other country where guns are in the hands of the general population.

Of the 3 people from 2 years ago how many of those 3 were children?

Because it is really about the children isn't it?

Bulldust!

You care about winning an argument with your illogical lack of reason, you couldn't give a cr@p about anybody but yourself.

Legal gun ownership very rarely causes a problem, and when it does its by accident or theft, the latter of which would make the thief in possession of an ILLEGAL gun.

Illegal guns will continue to be the problem NOT LEGAL gun ownership.
