I've been to Madame Tussaud's in London  - and they all looked like wax figures - not convincing at all.

But this one is very convincing. Quite incredible.

Are you sure that's not the real Steve Irwin?

It was all done with close communication with the family.

I'll bet the day will come when some enterprising fellow will become a billionaire overnight when he starts up a business that makes perfect life-sized wax models of elderly husbands or wives while they're still alive for when one or the other dies ... and then these wax clones are dressed and sat in 'his/her favourite chair in the lounge' after they die.

Cloning in plastic materials is already possible with laser 3-D technology.

Looks fake.  They're getting better but still not there as far as representation goes.  I'm surprised they didn't show him at the moment of his death, gasping and spurting blood everywhere!   Being wax it would melt if it ever was brought downunder!   Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

I was thinking of getting the CWA members done in wax herb..

then someone said they melt down others that have collected a bit of dust and make the new ones....I thought that would upset a few of the dears... they think they are human well almost....

if they had one of their late hubby or hubbies which ever the case may be... they would have him sitting up at the table and serve him a glass of mead every night....so warm and cuddly..its so refreshing to see that eternal love...one or two have trouble remembering the names of their dearly departed.. but when its brought to their attention their little eyes fill up...so sweet
