Easter Sunday? How many people actually work on SUNDAY anyway? Not many. Whoop de doo.

Oh .. and as for costing money, employers are already doing very well out of this. With all the below-inflation pay rises that employers have been handing out, it's safe to say that the cost of these public holidays (one of which is a frigging SUNDAY when most people don't work anyway) has already been factored in. It may be an inadvertent effect of the Abbott government's poor economic management but regardless, employees are already paying a little less on other days to make up for it, plus some.

Net effect is negligible.

Doctors, nurses, Paramedics, Fire Fighters, Police, bus drivers, train drivers, electricity company employees, water treatment plant workers, retail workers, etc, etc, etc. There's a huge number of people who work Sundays and many, if not most, of them are government employees whose wages are paid for by taxpayers.

The Victorian economy is estimated to lose $400 million with plans for residents to be given two extra public holidays for the AFL grand final and Easter Sunday.

It would mean Victoria will have 13 days, compared to NSW with 11, and Queensland and Western Australia with 10.

A Regulatory Impact Statement says that extra day off, along with a public holiday on Easter Sunday, will cost Australia's self-proclaimed sporting capital between $717 million and $898 million annually.

Horse-sh1t.

So with all your years of experience and your expert qualifications, that's your conclusion? You know better than the real experts just from reading that post? You make it so easy to poke holes in your posts, LMAO!!!!

If it comes from a conservative, it's horse-sh1t.

That's a given.

and those responses are why people consider you a real fool.

anyhow, what do more public holidays mean to a perennially unemployed loser like you anyhow?

Yeah - it's not like Kat pays any tax or contributes in any meaningful way...
