No, we're not going to do your homework for you.
Uh...you're American so what are you even doing on here?
Just about the dumbest bigotry ever said on this forum.
Just wondering why Americans are commenting on here. I don't see why they would be interested in a forum about Australian politics.
That show syou're thinking Pete, I sometimes wonder too. Of course I'm interested in American politics but the last thing I'd want to do is join an American political forum.
It's also good that you're doing some research, there's nothing quite like personal opinion to add to your assignment, you might even quote this forum if you think it will add to your marks.
Personally, I think Australia and the rest of the advanced western nations are going through a period of change, starting from the 2007/8 global financial crisis and continuing for a few decades. The west will no longer be the economic powerhouse that it once was. Let's hope that at the other end of the tunnel it will be a much fairer playing field where the top 10% don't have more money than the bottom 90% put together.
For your reasoning you should look at the following thread because it's quite complicated and the shift is not due to one thing but many, such as population, climate change, unfettered capitalism and more.
Good luck and feel free to ask any questions. We are here to help.
