Rage Against The Machine

In 2009, an internet campaign got Rage Against The Machine’s Killing In The Name into the UK Christmas Number One spot instead of the usual X Factor single. It’s a fierce anti-establishment anthem that still feels brilliant to yell along to: “bugger you I won’t do what you tell me!” So imagine our delight when the band performed on Radio 5 Live and, having previously agreed with the show’s producers not to swear, turned the airwaves blue.

One of the better bands.
True to their nature

Really? I'm surprised you think so, considering their political views which they express through their music.

Are you a closet lefty, Sprint?

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

I liked how noone would sign them up originally.
So they released their own stuff themselves.

I dislike sarcasm.

Speaking of which, I recall the guitarist Tom Morello actually started as a staffer for a politician.
