The Blues forward pack looks good, but I am not sold on the halves or backline. The team looks very defence orientated. I wonder where the points are going to come from? I think the Blues will try to smash the Maroons up the middle all night and hope they tire late in the game so the quicker men can take advantage of slow forwards.

Qld will win if their attack in on song. But the Maroons are in deep sh*t in a few years. They're getting old and I see no attempt to inject new, younger players.

I took it as a metal bar.

I thought that this was a joke till I seen three Queensland players walk into a glass door.

When I first looked at it I was thinking that one of them "would have seen it" I was thinking about the glass that a player may have stood on to cut his foot being the point.

not sold on the halves or backline

Hodkinson was brilliant last year but has played like he is carrying injury all this season, he has been awful and Pearce is a great club player who has a history of playing poorly at origin level. This year his form has been great and is more mature so maybe he can turn it around but it is a concern.

I thought that Last year Josh Reynolds enthusiasm was a big part of the difference that got NSW the series win and his form has been good this year, in my view it just comes down to the political aspects of who is liked and which clubs are favoured. Pearce and Easts are both high on the list.

There is a type of club player that can be brilliant at that level but for a very good reason fails at Origin because their attacking style relies on opportunities that do not exist at the higher level, Pierce could be one of these players.

I am hoping Pearce finally shines at origin level. He's a good defender, which is why I think he was picked over other options.

What's this silliness about the tickets being 'too dear'.

It'll be a sellout.
Same as the last decade.
