Quote:
BOY of five brought the customers at a fast food restaurant to tears when he said grace with a homeless man he had just got dinner for.

Josiah Duncan’s act of kindness came after his mum, Ava Faulk, had taken him to eat at the Waffle House in Prattville, Alabama.

He saw the homeless man standing outside with his bike and was so troubled by his appearance he began asking his mum about him. When his mum explained the man had no home or food Josiah urged her to buy him dinner. She did just that.

“He came in and sat down, and nobody really waited on him,” Ms Faulk told local network WSFA 12. “So Josiah jumped up and asked him if he needed a menu because you can’t order without one.”

The unidentified man was at first shy and ordered only a cheap hamburger but after Ms Faulk told him he could get anything he wanted he got the works.

Before the man began eating Josiah insisted on saying grace with him, bringing the other 11 diners in the restaurant to tears.

“The man cried. I cried. Everybody cried,” Ms Faulk said.

“You never know who the angel on Earth is, and when the opportunity comes you should never walk away from it,” she added. “Watching my son touch the 11 people in that Waffle House tonight will be forever one of the greatest accomplishments as a parent I’ll ever get to witness.”

This puts me in mind of another story from a few days ago.
A young worker at a Fast food joint in the US had an obviously down & out bloke order something but when it came to it the guy just couldn't find the money.

So the worker, a girl I think, paid for the meal for him herself.

Her boss who had seen what happened then gave her a verbal thrashing and told her not to do it again yadyadyada.

Not so nice.

She would have been one of those bloody socialists, the boss would have been a capitalist pig.

Or she was a human being, the boss wasn't.
You could turn that round to the UK rallying cry of "all Tories are scum" Pansi.

You can have it cods. It isn't something that your government has to allow or sanction, nor is it something you can buy only at speciality stores. One just starts it. Smiley

thats why I like Prince Harry he is very hands on he realises he makes a lot of people happy and maybe even feel better just for being there....and he is...good on him...and good on me and ashlee....we dont need to be told how to treat others.. it comes naturally.

Thank you cods, that's very kind of you to say  Smiley I make sure, at the end of every day, any food unsold is packed and taken to our local aged home, of course we only send food they can actually eat, also there are a couple of down and out people who know it's ok to come to the cafe's back door, and they get given food as well. I think it's important for one's wairua (spirit/soul).

I agree with you about Prince Harry, he seems genuine and caring. Both boys are very much like their late mother, Harry more so, because maybe he doesn't have the added pressures, so to speak.
