Where I live was hammered in the storms this week. That said, we count ourselves pretty lucky, the worst two things we got was a broken tree and a leak in one window. Now I think that was dodging the bullet as it were.

That's good. Sympathies have to go out to those people who suffer damage or worse.
We've had something like 8 inches of rain this week or more, haven't checked the gauge today.
The biggest rain event here in around 24 years, I can remember it well.
We must have very fortunate topography here as far as wind goes because no matter how wet the soil gets the trees don't come down.
My only problem is I have a condemned power pole but the guys haven't been able to get access for weeks and they won't now for maybe another month, so we could very well lose power.

Don't know (and don't want to know) what's going on in here.

I'm happy to report that the weather is DRY here in Sydney...and that I've hung out 2 loads of washing  Smiley

Bobby, that can't be right.. we are still getting record hot temperatures, don't you know...  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Winter this year is going to be our spring, and then spring will launch straight into summer. Summer will be hell on earth. Supposing that the rapture rehearsal is upon us by October, those left standing should see the uprising of Satan around December. Because the Earth is always getting warmer, even in the winter..... according to the global warming hysterics.

Rubbish

Yeah, well, the only skiing that would get done for the holidays would be on water, climate change experts said.

The snow is on it's way well before winter.
Get some warm clothes & buy a barbeque gas cooker.
Canned food would last a long time & so will rice.

Be prepared.

Blue skies here in Sydney today.

Bloody beautiful stuff   Smiley

Still damp and cold though....

The weather girl on ABC 24 said to expect snow in Victoria this weekend.

It could be the ice age Bobby.

Yes -
It could be the coming mini ice age predicted by 30 scientists.

meanwhile in Texas...

Quote:
Just in the past 5 days, we have had 9 inches of rain in Texas and it is raining again at this very moment. We have lovely pools of water formed on top of the adobe in our yards as much as a foot deep. Our yards are giant ponds now. It will take at least 3 weeks of dry weather to evaporate. The water moccasins are quite happy with it as are the frogs. I haven’t seen this much rain here in 17 years.

Somewhere on the planet, I'm sure it will. If not today, tomorrow.
