The rain so far has been an annoying inconvenience rather than a disaster. We could use more than we got. It's been windy and cold, but nothing excessive.

I recall last year, 17 degrees was considered a nice winters day. It was when the temperature went below 10 degrees that we started to really rug up. I have already shut up the windows around the house (day and night), with a few exceptions. If it was 10 degrees colder, the heater would be on. I think I'm being a little more sensitive of the weather this year than last. But I suppose, sobriety for me has helped that along. I can guarantee that I'm going to blanket all the windows and trap in the warm air, come mid winter.
