Cooking on a Yacht in Sydney Harbour
Apr 13th, 2015 at 6:55pm

Way back, we used to go sailing every weekend on the Sydney Harbour.

Here is one recipe I did in the Galley. Wink

Yes, Aussie.  The yacht had an oven in the galley.  It was a 42 ft Yawl, similar to this.  It also had a toilet and shower.  Cheesy  It was moored at the Cruising Yacht Club (CYCA) Marina, Rushcutters Bay.

Don't worry about Aussie. What would he know?

His life entirely consists of driving cabs and driving people up the wall online.

Now...wanna hear something scary?

My neighbours have a yacht like that. And it's moored at the same place.

And we're going yachting soon.

And we're' cooking on board....they told me not to cook anything in advance.

Wouldn't it be funny .. if you knew them lol.

What do you think? Marine Stoves come in all types:

* LPG Gas
* Electric
* Diesel
* Alcohol
* Natural Gas
* Solid Fuel
* Kerosene

Read all about it and learn. Roll Eyes

I did the google before I asked.  What powered the oven you were referring to on that particular yacht?

Cooking on a yacht sound like fun making the whole trip very comfortable.

I would expect you would use it when anchored in a flat harbour.

Be a great way to eat fresh fish or another goodies you catch.

I don't care how it's powered......

What did you do that was really special on it beyond the 2 mentioned.

Sea Fever
John Masefield

      I must down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
      And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
      And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
      And a gray mist on the sea's face, and a gray dawn breaking.

      I must down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
      Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
      And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
      And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

      I must down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
      To the gull's way and the whale's way, where the wind's like a whetted knife;
      And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
      And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.
