Progressive/Greens Strongholds, where are they?
Mar 13th, 2015 at 1:21am

Is Melbourne the best place for someone whose political inclinations align best with the greens?

Are there any other towns that might fit the ticket?
thanks,

The densest population of greens... Tasmania probably. Or, the densest (in the other sense of the word) would be the inner-city Melbourn hipsters. It depends. If you're a true believer, and live your enviro-friendly philosophy, go to Tassie. If you're simply a pseudo-intellectual hipster trying to look cool without really doing anything too hard, then you'll fit right in with the Melbourne greens scene.

As for the other part of your question, I think the jails and asylums are their strongholds.

Victoria is considered the most "progressive" state.
The inner north of Melbourne is where you will find the hipster green voters. Not sure if they are actually doing anything that environmental or progressive though. They just think they are.  Roll Eyes

It could in fact be argued that they help perpetuate the neoliberal cause as they are viewed as a negative socially constructed target group by the general population.

The general population being fascistic money loving white people addicted to jevons paradox and the dream of hollywood inspired children for the purposes of moving up the social ladder whilst spitting on their elders by putting them in nursing homes and voting to cut down pensions
every election
so they  are forced to suck up the dog food of ill-kindedness  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

G'day Barrack,  yes, the electorate division of Melbourne is a bastion of leftiness of the watermelon variety (red in the middle but green on the outside).  One strategically targeted missile would do us a real favour..... Grin Cheesy
