Army's New Grenades Can Be Stacked Like Legos for 'Devastating Effect'

The U.S. Army recently finished tested on a new kind of offensive hand grenade that can be stacked like Legos.

Officials at the annual Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiment at the Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning, Ga. have completed their evaluation of the Scalable Offensive Hand Grenade (Nammo Talley, Inc.), which allows infantrymen to connect up to three grenades during battle.

“It really has a devastating effect,” Harry Lubin, chief of the Experimentation Branch of MCOE’s Maneuver Battle Lab, told Military.com Feb. 20. Each grenade that is stacked comes with .25 pounds of high explosive.
