Abbott can guarantee 35, the rest are up for grabs. Secret ballot means they may not all vote the way they say they will  Wink

Abbott controls the initial process as to whether there will be a spill.

One of the straightest bats you will see.

There seems to be no question in Ruddick's mind that it will be a secret ballot.

No doubt in my mind either.

BUT.....Abbott controls whether it gets to a secret ballot vote.  As Chairman, he has the power to simply say......"I guage from the vibes in the Room there is no majority call for a spill.  Meeting closed."
