do not pretend you can speak for one such as I am

and I am not alone .

I doubt I speak for one such as yourself.... But maybe for the nurses and orderlies responsible for your care.

He was wrongly imprisoned, apparently, that seems to be the upshot of what the US has said.

Australian government was complicit in this.

As such, if he was wronged then compensation is a fairly normal outcome. So, if he is paid "millions" (I suspect it will be far less in the long run) he is being compensated for the Australian Government having wronged him.

Now the real issue here is that tax payers will foot the bill, rather than the main two players behind the Australian Government failing to protect, support or advocate for an Australian citizen's rights. Bottom line, Ruddock and Howard should foot the bill, it was their personal decision making that caused this outcome...

Grin Grin Grin

What about Hick's "personal decision making"?

What is it with you loops and your pissy bloody excuses for everyone that does something wrong and gets caught?

Nah, I get it he made piss bloody poor decisions, however, that isn't the issue. At the time of his imprisonment, NO LAW had been broken by him.

I am curious what it is with you that you simply don't get how the age old justice system is actually meant to work...

He broke no law (nothing to do with his crap decision making that is not a legal point in this) and was, consequently, wrongly imprisoned. That is the issue that is to be compensated, apparently.

If you can demonstrate the laws he broke I am sure the Australian Government will be eternally grateful to you.

What is it with you loops who have flagrant disregard for the rule of law?

I don't give a bugger about any laws.... Roll Eyes

He's a traiterous dog and i wish he had caught a bullet.

People who don't break laws, should be executed?

You sound like a terrorist to me.

One of the problems with the terrorist label is that they are all freedom fighters to someone else.

Why do you wish that someone you've never met, and who has broken no laws, was dead?

What happened to you during your life that turned you into such a hate-filled person?

Wrongfully imprisoned, for years.

Receives compensation.

Where's the problem?

He was quarantined, interned, held in detention. That doesn't require a 'guilty' verdict.

Not the same as being imprisoned. 'Imprisoned' means you've been convicted by a court of law.

"imprison: to confine in or as if in a prison."

"imprison: put or keep in prison or a place like a prison."

Even Bindi would know that, Herbie.
