What about the mowing!

I think there are a few people here with acreages and large areas to mow.
Are you surviving?
I can't remember grass growing like this since  I first heard about climate change.
You get to the end, it pisses down for a few days and back you go to jail, do not pass go and start all over again.
Or maybe the last time it was like this I had a few cattle and it wasn't a worry. But that was maybe 15 years ago.

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

Well, I have a large backyard, not to mention front yard that takes about an hour to mow in total. Depending on how I feel, I either do the whole yard in an afternoon. Or I do the backyard one day, and the front the next. Problem for me is that I live in Rockhampton.

Not that living in Rockhampton is a problem. However, when it rains, it pours. The rest of the year, I have to figure out a way to keep the yard green without the constant hosing over the weekend. Recently (the last three months), I have used liquid fertiliser to get the soil to regenerate to a green lawn without the drought look to the grass.

I have a garden in the southeast corner of my yard that has a compost bin that I use to discard scraps and feed the garden. Recent wet weather has meant that the nutrients have escaped the confines of the garden and made certain parts of the yard unevenly overgrown with grass. So, I have to constantly mow grass that has grown to a metre in height.

Modify the mower, two birds with one stone and two stones for one bird so to speak. Any corrugations should be a hoot!

It's a strange world, surely someone has lived the dream.

If not, live the dream John, live the dream.  Grin

Just record it for posterity... and us..
