'Aussie' will not be a candidate and has not sought endorsement, but 'he' will be in the engine room somewhere.  I ran my political race as an Independent some years ago.  Did quite well.....the AEC paid me a tidy sum......but came second!

Oh yeas, it is quite cynical, and contrary to his September 14 protestations he would go 'full term.'  I think he is hoping that it will catch other parties ill-prepared (maybe he has too) and that because of holidays, and Australia Day and return to school, the Mob will have other things on their mind.  Good idea, but no-one will forget how Newmann sacked 14,000.....yes 14,000 public servants, how he needlessly picked fights with the legal profession, the Judiciary and civil rights, his penchant for over-riding local government to favour his donor developer mates, granting Gina the sole rail rights out of a huge, vast  coal mining area, and his threats to dump sludge on the Reef.  Those issues are off the top of my head, and there will be much....but most of all....his unbelievable arrogance will see him undone, and thank you Ashgrove in advance.

In that shot, yes.  But that is a distortion.  There were plenty there, but not as many for the 2013 Federal launch.
