try the floetrol, its actually pretty good.

I'd recommend you use a 2pac on the boat though, you'll get a much longer life out of it and its much harder wearing although its a lot more expensive.


First I tried spa marine varnish, which looked great at first but wore straight off. Now I am trying that pool paint with sandy bits in it for grip. I'll try the 2pac (epoxy?) next if that doesn't work.


yes epoxy .

Marine varnish is supposed to last for ages ....

The boat floor gets a lot of sand on it, then has things sliding around on top of that. It's a tough ask for any coating. The sun seems to do a lot of damage too.

then 2 pac is definitely the way to go.

edit ... we used to use when painting prison cells specifically because it was more difficult for prisoners to carve their initiials into it (and blood was easy to wash off)
