My children, from an early age, were trained in an Oriental form of unarmed combat... they have no need for weapons in their hands.

I deliberately removed them from firearms - though I owned two - for the reason that I expected that they would be able to defend self awhile not seeking violence against others, and always imbued them with the philosophy that it was only the person with the true strength who could stand back and refuse combat....

When you KNOW you are able - you do not need to engage an idiot ....

Teach your children well, Grasshoppers.. they will one day grow to be the future of this country...

I knew a kid that almost lost his balls when a spud gun backfired, it was a home made one, he sits on the ground with it between his legs, now I think about it, I wonder if he had it facing the wrong way, terrible accident.

when I first came to Canberra I found a few dead birds in the back yard of the house we rented...we picked them all up as you do.... then a few weeks later more arrived...on taking a closer look they had been shot...we reported it to the police...and it was kids over the back with an air rifle....I trust a visit from the police took the smile off their faces...as their parents didnt see much harm in what they were doing....I am so glad we are not a gun crazy country...

with guns and cars come responsibility.. we dont always teach that I am afraid
