I remember men walking down the street, whistling.  I haven't heard that in a long time. It was such a happy sound!  Are men less happy these days or haven't they learned how to whistle?

Roger Whittaker was a great whistler and some of his songs were good as well.

Nothing irritates me more than someone whistling in the supermarket, or on a bus or train.

Leave it at home, folks.

Some with singing in public. Leave it at home. Keep it in the shower.

Mind you, I've been recorded the annual World Whistling Championships for a few years. The best whistler was soon banned because he was ruining the competition by consistently being better than anyone else. He was simply unbeatable.

But all the other competitors are very good too ~ including the women.

Roger Whittaker hated the fact he was always first asked to do the Mexican Whistler at every interview and 'request' performance. He didn't like that people thought of his singing as a secondary afterthought.
