Class of 1984

A ripper of an 80s film, which may kinda exaggerate about the dangers of high school or maybe not, but with this fictional high school gang led by its leader stegmen who is one of the most vicious and nastiest pieces of work of a villian you will ever see, either on a film or at a real high school, with this gang he leads it loves dealing in drugs, gang violience and prostuition and still go to high school, and know that being a minor in the eyes of the law helps them get away with anything. pretty much of that is still going on in todays society, this film has a part horror element which is engaging. so this film still has some power.

After you see it you'll know why they say its bigger than Ben Hur!!!!! And I'm not talking about the 224 minutes.

A possibly little-known film, 'Open Range' by Kevin Costner:

I was very surprised by the quality and the final gunfight is just huge.

I've been a big fan of Robert Duvall since the Lonesome Dove series.

Another I liked, in the same cowboy vein, was the remake of 'True Grit', with Jeff Bridges:

For all these guys who had childhoods back in the 80s, who remembers this film, watching it with your mates on the good old VHS or even alone behind your parents back, i certainly do, Grin

This is an absolute fun comedy about sex starved youth, low brow humour and a bit of social satire. this film was the granddaddy of american pie.

Reply #70 - Dec 14^th, 2014 at 8:34pm I dont know why but i always liked Mickey rourke, he had a unique screen presence of his own, he had a up and down career as an actor and ****** his face through professional boxing but here is a film that i like and you might be surprised yourself after viewing it. this is one of his best. Saw this the other day very thought provoking - if its true then all politicians in the western world are TRAITORS to their own country.

This movie led me to ask the question.........?

"Should Julia Gillard be jailed for enslaving us all to the bankers.........?"

What's $600 billion dollars in terms of a prison sentence....???

And $1.8 million dollars a day in interest....???
