(CNN) -- Shots that rang out in the Canadian capital Wednesday left a soldier and a gunman dead, a city on lockdown, and a series of questions about security threats facing the nation.

Parliament member Kyle Seeback called it a "horrific day."

There were two shooting incidents in the city, where this kind of violence is extremely rare: one at the Canada War Memorial, which is near the Parliament building, and another round of shooting inside Parliament.

Needless to say this has nothing to do with Islam.

Nothing at all.

Absolutely zero.

The Canadian Prime Minister will be informing us of this fact very shortly.

He's probably making his way right now at this very moment to tell us this fact as he stands beside Canada's Mufti at one of the local mosques.

If these offenders had more of Islam pumped into them they would never have committed these acts that has cost someone's life.

Islam making the World News again, but John Smith and the other idiots on this forum can't understand why some of us are a little concerned about this religious ebola that has western governments holding emergency meetings with their secret security agencies.

This is the start of 'us' against 'them'. It is only a small ember right now but this is going to grow and grow like an infectious disease.

I can only see terrible things ahead for the World as the West and ISIS fight it out. I don't ever seeing ISIS being 'defeated'.

It will go underground when necessary. More and more terrorist events will occur in Countries, previously untouched by such incidents.

Strap your seatbelts on because there isn't any going back from this one.

I think ISIS will be defeated, the problem is that the next load of alphabet soup muslim fundamentalists have a rich treasure trove of lessons to be mined.

They know now that in that chaotic region that a caliphate can be established but to be successful don't piss off the great satan and England by beheading thier citizens and videoing it.

Do however continue videoing the conflict, it has proven to be a great recruitment tool. And be a little less brutal...until you are firmly established.

From the first paragraph in the linked article, which, by some comments made was clearly either not read at all or that which is plainly said has not been comprehended.

The first stand out point is that providing links is a somewhat futile exercise in such a critical thinking void zone... That really stands out.

Secondly, yep, this bloke converted to Islam, of course not until after he "had a history of drug use". As such it would seem there may well be multiple factors involved in his apparently flawed decision making.

I guess that means it is shared responsibility between Islam and all drug manufacturers and providers...

That's how it works isn't it?

There's no such thing as a Muslim who isn't a paragon of virtue.

Over the years we've seen news reports from outside our Criminal Courts in which the cameras have shown us family-and-friends of convicted criminals wearing all the trappings, the bells and whistles of Virtuous Muslims.

Niqabs, burqas, hijabs, large black beards ~~ all announcing to the world that Here Are The Virtuous, the Pious, and the Innocent. (Allah be praised!)

And then these family-and-friends have been seen to rush at the reporters and the cameramen with fists and boots flying despite half of therm being on the Disability Support Pension.
